Kitsune .44 page 3

Notes

1. It will be explained in-comic later, but Scott has found himself suddenly teleported to feudal Japan circa 1400-1500 or so. His location should explain why there has thus far been only two natives of the area (out of several) with dark hair. Or at least it would explain it if you are David Gonterman.

2. Thank you, David, for pointing out, Mortal Kombat-style, that a FATALITY has occurred. The basketball-sized hole in the person's back was not enough of an indication.

3. A brief forensic analysis of what has happened thus far will explain Scott's hostile attitude here: He has found himself transported into a land where the background may or may not be about eighty different things, only to find a man with a sword, whom he promptly shot in the chest at point blank range with a .44. Despite doing this, there was no blood spray and there is no blood on the ground at all, in fact. Additionally, although he was shot in the chest while in the air, the man landed face down. To put a cap on all this, the exit wound seems to have disappeared and the man's pants have changed color from dark to light, as opposed to the other way round, which would have been expected. You'd be pretty irate, too.
